The voluntary National Insurance deadline has been extended in order to help taxpayers to increase the amount they receive in State Pensions.
After concerns were raised about the deadline being the 5th of April 2023, the government has extended it to the 31st of July 2023 in order to give people more time to fill gaps in their National Insurance record.
Those with gaps from April 2006 onwards will now have more time to boost their State Pension, with any payments made being at the lower 2022 to 2023 tax year rates.
