As many as 21,600 people have set up a payment plan over the last seven months to help spread the cost of their tax bill into manageable monthly instalments.
Data shows that this is an increase of approximately 3,900 people compared to the previous year.
HM Revenue and Customs are urging those who haven’t already done so, to submit their tax returns for the 2021 to 2022 tax year as soon as possible so that they know how much they owe well before the deadline date of the 31st of January 2023.
