Making Tax Digital – VAT changes April 2019

Introducing Making Tax Digital

From 1st April 2019, any business registered for VAT will be required by law to store digital financial records and to submit their VAT returns using Making Tax Digital (MTD) compatible accounting software.

At Dolan Accountancy, we are proud to work with FreeAgent, whose software has already been HMRC approved to both digitally store and seamlessly submit VAT Returns directly to HMRC. In addition HMRC can also send any necessary communications straight back to your FreeAgent portal regarding your return. Your Dolan Accountancy accountant will be in touch soon to discuss the changes however as you are already using FreeAgent, there should not be any action required on your part.
