For those who are either already self-employed or considering making the move, HMRC has launched a new online tool to provide support and advice.
Aimed at small businesses, it helps individuals to better understand their responsibilities, such as what records to keep or the taxes that may apply, as well as other useful guides, like how to pay a tax bill.
The guidance and interactive tools are all free to use and are available on GOV.UK.
